By car The town is located just off the A488 main road, south of Shrewsbury. If you are using a Sat Nav the postcode is SY9 5AF and Number 5 is the middle cottage of Woodbine Terrace, Church Lane. From the West Midlands or further afield. It's best to take the M54 motorway to Telford, then join the A5 to Shrewsbury. Head south on the A488 for about 20 miles. From the North west or North Wales The A483 from Chester to Welshpool is a good route if you're coming from this direction. Head for Churchstoke and then Bishop's Castle. From Ludlow and the South Leave the A49 at Craven Arms take the A489 signposted for Bishop's Castle. By public transport Train The two easiest stations are Shrewsbury (24m) or Craven Arms (12m). There is a limited bus service from Craven Arms to Bishop's Castle but the best route is probably by taxi. the bus is more regular from Shrewsbury but the last bus is around 5pm. Coach/Bus National coach services run to Shrewsbury and there is a local bus service betwen Bishop's Castle and Shrewsbury serviced by Minsterley Motors. Click here to view the timetable, please note last bus is around 5pm. Local buses stop in the town outside the Boars Head pub, about 300 metres from the cottage. To get to Number 5, head towards the Church at the bottom of the town and Church Lane is the lane the the right of the Church. Number 5 is along the lane on your left.
